Your Weekly AstroYoga Forecast: Big Energy For November 2020

Your Weekly AstroYoga Forecast

This week has a couple notable astrological events, and they all have to do with new directions and deeper depths.

Today Mercury, the planet of communication and thought, enters Scorpio, the sign of seeing deep truths. Use this energy to stare unflinchingly at the truth concealed in the depths of your thoughts, your words, and the communication from others.

Mercury in Scorpio reminds you that appearances aren't always what they seem. If you engage with this energy, you will have the power to see through shiny exteriors to the depths hidden within.

This weekend's New Moon in Scorpio will assist you with this, offering you a chance to take Mercury's skills in new directions of your choosing.

Ask yourself, into what would you like to see more deeply? Is there an area of your life where surface appearances have left you without access to true, deep knowing? Now is a great time to explore those depths.

This energy is heightened by Mars ending his retrograde in Aries on Friday. Mars rules action, and Aries rules the individuated self, so this final stage in the retrograde is a perfect time to reflect on what actions truly resonate with YOU.

As Mars stations direct, you have the heightened capacity to put your vision for the world into action.

If you engage with them, you can use this week's energies to truly align with yourself, taking action and seeing clearly the path forward (even if you realize there's more to the path than you originally thought).

This week's AstroYoga pose nourishes the areas of the body affected by these transits.

ASTRO YOGA TIP OF THE WEEK

Practice garland pose (Malasana)

To practice this pose:

1. From standing, turn the knees and toes out slightly
2. Bend your knees and descend your hips toward the ground
3. Draw your hands to heart center
4. Broaden your chest and breathe

PRO TIP

Engage mahabandha here! Start by engaging your pelvic floor (mulabandha). Then draw your low belly up toward the spine (uddiyanabandha). Finally, draw the chin in slightly (jalandharabandha).

How does it feel when you breathe into these bandhas (energetic locks)? What changes about the posture?
