Your Weekly AstroYoga Forecast and Some Major Astrology Themes for 2020

Your Weekly Astro Yoga Forecast…

Integrate, Integrate, Integrate

Wow-wee! How are you feeling? The last few days have seen some major shifts in the zodiac, and this week your task is to begin integration.

To recap the shifting energies: There was an eclipse on Friday; Uranus is now direct after a 5 month retrograde; Saturn, Pluto, and the Sun hit a major conjunction; and Venus is now in watery Pisces.

Does that seem complex? Here's the short of it: now is a moment to integrate deep transformation in the practical areas of life. Bonus points if you can generate a little more compassion for yourself (which will inevitably transfer to those around you).

How have you been changing your relationship with tangible things like the environment, your work, your relationships, and your personal wellbeing?

As transformation takes place, make sure you're growing toward your best self. Now is the perfect time to take inventory of how you're spending your energy. Is there anything you're ready to give more energy to? Is there something you're ready to release?

There's no way to know how long it will take you to integrate all of these shifts in your life. If you feel like it's taking a long time, be easy on yourself--major changes take time, and you can be certain that you're asking the right questions and integrating properly as you continue your path.

Remember, you don't have to be perfectly integrated and balanced in order to take meaningful action and serve your own highest purpose. The steps you're taking today are enough. You are enough, and you already have what you need.

This week's AstroYoga pose strengthens the area of the body ruled by Capricorn and provides grounding energy and expansion for integrating these transits.

ASTRO YOGA TIP OF THE WEEK

Practice Reversed Warrior (Viparita Virabhadrasana II)

To practice this pose:

1. Take a wide stance
2. Turn your right toes forward and bend your right knee
3. Reach your right hand toward the sky and descend your left hand down your back leg
4. Stay still for several breaths
5. Repeat on the other side

PRO TIP

Try to broaden the front and back of your chest as you expand and stretch your arms. Experience what it feels like to sustain this posture, rather than using it as a transition in flow. Relax your face, and embody the connection between earth and sky.

My advice on how this asana connects with astrology is general. Your personal chart will offer more specific advice on what sorts of activities could fortify your best qualities and encourage growth where there’s unrealized potential.
