Mercury Retrograde's Last Moments (this time)
Welcome to your last week in Mercury Retrograde for a while. There's a lot shifting this week before Monday's full moon in Virgo when Mercury begins to move direct again.
Tomorrow, Venus enters Taurus and Mercury reenters Aquarius for the second time this year. This particular planetary configuration serves as a reminder that love must be lived through action and expressed no matter what upheavals come your way. At the same time, thoughts must be examined with the greater good in mind.
Does the way you live your most beautiful life harmonize with how you believe humanity ought to live?
Do the choices you make to give yourself material comfort align with what is truly best for the environment and humanity?
This is a potent moment to consider the relationship between what is personal and universal. How do your ideals align with your actions?
The good news is: You can do it. Most of us have some psychic dissonance surrounding our perfect and our actual worlds. Now is your moment to begin to align the two. Monday's full moon offers you a perfect moment to shed what doesn't align with your ideal life.
This week's AstroYoga pose calls in the balance and strength of the Pisces, Virgo, and Aquarius-ruled areas of the body.
ASTRO YOGA TIP OF THE WEEK
Practice One Legged Toe Stand pose (Padangusthasana)
To practice this pose:
1. Kneel on both knees with your toes tucked under
2. Shift weight into your feet
3. Lift your knees
4. Draw one knee into the chest and straighten the leg
5. Bring hands to Anjali mudra OR rest hands on a block for added balance
6. Stay, balance, and breathe
7. Repeat on the other side
PRO TIP
The key to balancing in this posture is to expand the area around the heart. Imagine growing out from the heart in all directions. How do the energetics of the posture change?
A trick to experience this is to practice jazz hands with the posture. Try it!
My advice on how this asana connects with astrology is general. Your personal chart will offer more specific advice on what sorts of activities could fortify your best qualities and encourage growth where there’s unrealized potential.
