Scorpio Season: Your Weekly AstroYoga Forecast

Scorpio Season Starts TOMORROW

You may be feeling Scorpio season a bit early this year, with both Venus and Mercury traversing Scorpio already. But get ready, because tomorrow it's official as the Sun enters Scorpio.

Each Zodiac sign offers a key energetic aspect that can unlock a vital expression of who you are. Scorpio's energy is one of the most deep and illusive energies, and also one of the most rewarding to access.

Scorpio energy is fixed water energy, like the depths of a deep lake or an old, mossy well. To access it, you have to welcome the deep, hidden parts of you into your consciousness. As you hold your depths in your awareness, you can begin to work with your deepest desires and latent shadows in a loving way.

Take some time to get in touch with your lower three chakras and get into the depths of your being. See what comes up.

The AstroYoga pose of the week strengthens the areas of the body ruled by Scorpio, and encourages mindful chakra alignment.

ASTRO YOGA TIP OF THE WEEK

Practice side lunge (Skandasana)

To practice this pose:

1. Take a wide stance with feet and knees angled out about 45 degrees
2. Bend your left knee any amount (your hips could remain high or move lower)
3. Draw your hands to heart center
4. Stay and breathe
5. Repeat on the other side

PRO TIP

Find a stance that both challenges you and sets you at ease. If you're higher up, try lowering your hips one more inch, and if you're low to the ground, try rising up one inch. This will take you out of your comfort zone (particularly if you're used to practicing the posture) and into a point of growth.

If you're already practicing in your zone of growth, consider backing out of the posture by one inch. What changes?
