Halloween Astrology: Your Weekly AstroYoga Forecast for October 29, 2019

Happy Halloween Week! Scorpio Season is happening!

This week, the Sun is opposite Uranus, forming a conversation between Taurus and Scorpio energies. In addition, Sunday's new moon in Scorpio added some fuel to the conversation.

The big topic this brings up is quite challenging: how can you stand truly in your own power and your own experience while navigating the complexities that come from external changes and internal shifts in emotion/thought?

In essence, how can you stay connected to your deepest self, navigating your strongest desires, while simultaneously allowing for surprises and challenges from the universe?

Only you can answer these questions for yourself. My advice? Tap into your body and your breath. Use this awareness to cultivate intimate knowledge of your emotions, thought patterns, and physical sensations. What is it you truly want in life? How can you add a bit more awareness, humor, and ease to chasing your deepest desires?

The AstroYoga pose of the week aligns the areas of the body ruled by Scorpio and Taurus while encouraging mindful chakra alignment.

ASTRO YOGA TIP OF THE WEEK

Practice garland pose (malasana)

To practice this pose:

1. From standing, turn the knees and toes out slightly
2. Bend your knees and descend your hips toward the ground
3. Draw your hands to heart center
4. Broaden your chest and breathe

PRO TIP

Engage mahabandha here! Start by engaging your pelvic floor (mulabandha). Then draw your low belly up toward the spine (uddiyanabandha). Finally, draw the chin in slightly (jalandharabandha).

How does it feel when you breathe into these bandhas (energetic locks)? What changes about the posture?

My advice on how this asana connects with astrology is general. Your personal chart will offer more specific advice on what sorts of activities could fortify your best qualities and encourage growth where there’s unrealized potential.
